Look at this lost and pained soul standing before you who has just hurt you, acted from their ego self, and know that you no longer want to look like them, act like them. They’re showing you a part of yourself that you’re ready to surrender.
All that’s required of you in this moment of anger is to see the other person as a wounded soul doing the best they can from their own level of awareness. Love them for their pain and struggles because you’re just like them. By loving them, you’re healing yourself.
Rise above the unconscious ego behavior they’re showing you – because it’s ugly, selfish and desperate, and that’s not who you are. That’s not who you aspire to be.
One simple breath and a request for guidance, pulls you away from habitual reaction and raises you a notch towards your great soul potential. Thank the messenger for the lesson; thank the soul standing before you who triggered your reaction. Your anger is revealed so that it can be healed.
The next time someone says or does something that triggers your anger, you’ll already be removed from the ego experience, more in touch with your soul’s wisdom, watching it all unfold from your divine lens. You’ll pause, take a breath, adjust your lens, and choose your words gracefully. Compassion will pour through you if you allow it.
This is the gift of your anger. This is the gift of your opponent arriving with their sword drawn, eager to slice a piece of you. In that moment of sacred recognition, everything changes, and you realize that nothing and no one can ever hurt you or tarnish your lovely soul – when you view it through your divine lens.
